Why use a multi tool or dremel for resin?

Rotary tools, also known as dremels, are a super handy addition to your resin kit. They have a variety of functions such as drilling, polishing, sanding, and grinding.

They’re perfect for detailed small to medium resin craft projects such as jewelry, keychains, home decor, polymer clay, or wooden crafts.

What you get with the Resiners Rotary Tool Kit

The Resiners Rotary Tool Kit includes a high-performance, low-noise rotary tool, 53 practical accessories and storage case.

  • 1 x Instruction manual
  • 1 x Rotary tool (rechargeable so great for hands free work)
  • 10 x Drill Bits of various sizes (great for pilot holes for screws or for turning resin into necklaces)
  • 1 x Polishing paste
  • 4 x Sanding bands (perfect for sanding rough edges of small projects)
  • 4 x Collet nut (these are what you use to attach the drill bits and other accessories)
  • 4 x Wool felt wheel (great for polishing)
  • 10 x Grinding heads (different sizes for small to medium projects)
  • 1 x Type-c charging cable
  • 20 x Sheets of various grit sandpaper

How long does the charge last for?

The rotary tool took under 45 minutes to reach full charge. We used it on and off over a few days for various projects and its still going strong.

The Resiners website states that you’ll get 60 minutes continuous use but I guess this will be dependant on the speed you’re using.

Is it easy to use?

I’ve used a number of dremels in the past and I absolutely love them but some haven’t been great for drilling in to firmer pieces and haven’t stood up too well to drilling in to Eco Resin.

The Resiners tool seems to pack a bit more power and has 5 speeds to choose from. I recommend starting at a low speed and working up when drilling and sanding so you can determine how fast you really need to go while keeping control.

It’s really easy to switch between the tools, although it can take some getting used to in order to work out which collect to use for which size drill bit.

What we like the most

I love how this kit comes with a polish and the five speed option makes it stand out in my opinion. I also love the storage case.

It’s the first dremel I’ve had that’s come with a sturdy case and it’s a bonus that it is one that looks great as well as matches the rest of my Resiners kit.

Is there anything that could be better?

The only thing to note is that Resiners don’t currently sell the additional accessories. It would be great to get extra packs of the sanding wheels as I go through them quite quickly, especially with Eco Resin when making terrazzo.

But, that’s not too much of an issue as you can easily buy compatible extras from places like Temu, SHEIN and these ones that I recommend from Amazon.

Overall though, I’m loving this new addition to my resin kit.
